So how can you ensure that your website is SEO friendly and therefore have more chance of ranking amongst the top of the results?

SEO Checker

It is, of course easier to ensure that your website is SEO friendly by creating it that way. If you are starting your website from scratch, there are several things that you can do to ensure that it is SEO friendly. We then recommend that you use an SEO checker to confirm that you have achieved what your wanted.

Likewise, if you already have a website and don`t think that it is well optimized or you want to see how well your website is optimized so that you can make improvements, you can use an SEO analyzer to give you the details that you need.

Creating an SEO Friendly Website

When you are creating an SEO friendly website, there are a few factors that you should be thinking about:

Keywords – These are the basis of the online search algorithm. The keywords on your web pages are what tells the search engine what your page (and therefore website or business) is about. It is important that you include keywords on each page, a few times. These will be the words that people will type into a search engine when they are looking for information or a site. Don`t however flood the page with keywords as the search engines don`t like this and can see it as spam. Remember the point of keywords isn`t to attract as many people as possible to your website, it is to attract the right people to your website, so keep them specific.

Page Titles and Meta Descriptions – Every page needs to have a unique page title and meta description. The page title should be 60-70 characters, and the meta description 150-160 characters. Try to include your keyword in the page titles and meta description for the best SEO.

URL – By using the correct URL, you can also improve your SEO. By adding keywords to your URL, it is easier for the search engines to find you. Use keywords and hyphens to separate the different words to help them to help you. See our YouTube video explaining this in more depth.

Mobile Friendly – As an increasing number of people are using mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets to conduct their business online, the search engines are placing an increasing amount of importance on websites to be mobile friendly. By ensuring that your site is mobile friendly, you will improve your chances of being ranked near the top of those search results.

It is vital for any business that their website is found easily by search engines such as Google. By understanding what makes it SEO friendly and using an SEO checker to ensure that it is, you can give your business the best chance of success online.
